Our Latest News - July

July Update

The major event this month was the judging by Yorkshire in Bloom. Luckily the sun shone and the town looked glorious, especially the planters and barrier baskets. They seemed very positive and enjoyed their visit. The hard work put in by all supporting groups and our team, surely paid off.

The team continued to meet regularly to tend to the gardens and keep everything looking tidy. Castle Hill primary school garden club met regularly through the summer months and this culminated in a stall selling vegetables, herbs and sunflowers at the school’s Summer Fair.

Although we didn’t manage an Open Gardens event this year, it was good to see long time supporter Pat Hall’s lovely garden open to the public in aid of charity, and many of us enjoyed a visit there.
