Our Latest News - February

February Update

A cold month but a busy one. The team continued to meet regularly on Sunday mornings to work on our public garden spaces, tidying and weeding. While behind the scenes, planning for the year ahead continues. As usual we have entered the annual Yorkshire in Bloom competition.

Funding for the refurbishment of Patmos garden is progressing well, and hopefully this will begin next month. In the meantime, the hellebores in the garden are putting on a good display. The snowdrops in the Peace garden also made a good show.

The team decided to participate in the national ‘Clean for the Queen’ project in order to help the town recover from the floods. A three day effort to clean and tidy around the town was planned for March; and a big effort was made to reach out to other organisations in the town to help with this. This is to take place on March 20-22nd.
